Description:
Physicians are at the forefront of driving high-quality, cost-effective patient care.  Physician leadership within multidisciplinary teams can enhance patient outcomes while controlling costs. Dr. Batson will discuss the value of team-based care with physician leadership, how to foster collaboration, and strategies for overcoming common challenges from the healthcare team as well as the patients.  The goal of this lecture is to equip physicians and healthcare teams with the knowledge and practical tools needed to be effective leaders in value-based care settings. Understanding how to collaborate and navigate the challenges of team-based care will ultimately result in improved patient outcomes and more efficient care delivery, which is central to the principles of value-based care.
