Faculty Dr. Steven P. Furr is a board-certified family physician who has served the people in the Jackson, AL, area for almost 30 years. He earned an undergraduate degree as well as his medical degree from the University of South Alabama where he is currently chair of the health affairs committee and the academic and student affairs committee of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Furr has been on the board of the Alabama State Board of Medical Examiners and the State Committee of Public Health, and was president of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, Alabama Academy of Family Physicians and Alabama Medical Directors Association. In July 2012, Dr. Furr was inducted into the Alabama Healthcare Hall of Fame. Dr. Furr is currently on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Beverly F. Jordan is a primary care physician with Professional Medical Associates in Enterprise, Ala., and is certified in both family medicine and sports medicine. She earned a medical degree from The University of Alabama School of Medicine, completed residency training with Tuscaloosa Family Practice Residency and a fellowship in sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham. Dr. Jordan is a member of the Board of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners, Alabama State Committee of Public Health and the Alabama Advisory Committee for CRNP QACSC.
